Located at 190 School Street, the schoolhouse was originally opened in 1877 and closed in 1974.  The school and grounds are designated as a town Historic District.    Restoration of the building began in 2016.  Most major renovations were complete in 2023.

Now the building serves as the NSHA museum, gift store, and local school system research center.
